DLG serves as a resource for parents, teachers, staff and students in the OSS community to identify and discuss ideas, concerns and areas in need of further growth or awareness.
MISSION: The Diversity Learning Group’s mission is to provide leadership guidance and support to the Ocean Shore community to cultivate an environment of inclusion where each individual is valued and respected.
VISION: We work to welcome and honor Ocean Shore’s diverse community and create a positive learning environment for everyone. Our goal is to instill in our children an understanding of the value in acceptance and respect for one another’s differences so that they can grow up to become respectful members of society.
DLG sponsors many school and family events and activities throughout the school year, including:
- Celebrate Diversity Day
- OSS’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration
- Ruby Bridge’s Walk to School Day
- International Literacy Day
